Sisters of Saint Louis

Succeeding generations of the St. Louis Family have prayed and reflected upon the meaning of Sin Unum and the desire for oneness in the heart of Jesus. Sin Unum means, "That they may be one". Above all, they have tried in various ways to live out the vision of Sin Unum and to pass on the rich heritage that they have received. In practical terms, the desire for oneness expresses itself in the life of the St. Louis Family in a fourfold way: Education, Ecumenism, Migration, and Ecology, so as to bring out, in the words of Louis Bautain, 'a world healed, unified, and transformed through the saving wisdom of Christianity.' We have expanded the 4 pillars to 10, so as to celebrate one pillar each month.
